She (to her own shame) quickly regains her feelings for him. Sparkle later returns in Cupid Sparkle! where she attempts to shake off her feelings for him, and tries to help Bijou out with him instead. Of course, Hamtaro doesn't return them, as with every other female hamster crushing on him. Sparkle doesn't at first care much for Hamtaro or any other Ham-Hams, but in Someone Likes Hamtaro, she goes on a 'date' with him and after realising how he is always happy and so sweet and gentle, she develops feelings for him. In A Valentine Battle! she competes for Hamtaro's love against Sparkle and Oshare. There are a few more cases of a strong relationship in episodes such as I Want To See You, Bijou!, and Satisfied Bijou, where it is taken a step further and they go on a proper date. It becomes more obvious after Bijou's Favorite Ribbon, which is an episode centred around the relationship. Her crush on him becomes stronger in Come Out, Bijou! after Hamtaro compliments her ribbons. In the first episode, she winks at Hamtaro after he sings and dances for her with Oxnard and Boss. Although Hamtaro is completely clueless about it, he has shown signs of liking her back. Perhaps Boss didn't value Hamtaro's friendship as much as he should until later, as shown in I'm Parting, Clubhouse! where he considers Hamtaro hypothetically leaving to just be another chance with Bijou.īijou has a crush on Hamtaro. Boss is jealous that Bijou likes Hamtaro, but Hamtaro doesn't really notice. Hamtaro looks up to Boss, as he is older and usually wiser than Hamtaro, and they are very good friends. Even their owners are best friends.Īfter Hamtaro met Oxnard, they both fell into a tunnel, after which they met Boss. They were neighbours until Oxnard went to be with Pepper. Oxnard was the first hamster Hamtaro met after moving in their new house, and the two have been best friends since. This is of course only one of many instances of his bravery and willingness to help friends. He is also incredibly brave, as shown when he saves Penelope from a cat in one of the first episodes. He loves to help his friends and is very selfless and kind-hearted towards everyone he meets. This is changed to, "Ham-ha!", "paka-paka", and "kushi-kushi" in the English version. In the original anime, Hamtaro ends his sentences with 'na no da', a phrase often used by playful characters. Hamtaro makes the most of his life as a small hamster and lives each day in happiness hoping to make more friends and to have fun. Due to his innocent nature, he is clueless about many things, most notably love, and it would appear that Bijou, Barrette, Sparkle, Lapis, and Oshare all have developed a crush on him at some point. He is often seen as the real leader of the Ham-Hams. Owned by Laura Haruna, Hamtaro is a Ham-Ham who's always ready to help out his friends and his owner Laura. 4.1 Hamtaro portrayed Joe Vives-Alvarez in Cold Case Toonime (Rotten Seeds Production). France perhaps has the easiest road to travel, whereas Prussia and Austria find themselves surrounded on three sides by three very menacing empires. Your challenges will vary, depending on the nation you choose to play as. The turn-based strategy section is perhaps the best part of the game, and it can be an enjoyable, although very slow-paced, affair. That all sounds good, but in practice it turns out that Imperial Glory finds itself lacking in many departments. Imperial Glory also goes one better than Total War by including naval battles, so you can take your sloops and frigates into action. And when armies meet, you have the option of letting the computer automatically calculate the results, or you can drop down into a real-time, 3D battlefield and control your various infantry, artillery, and cavalry battalions on the map. Following the Total War formula means that you spend a lot of time on a strategic, turn-based map that looks a bit like the board game Risk. However, you can assimilate them into your empire, through conquest or peaceful integration, and that's pretty much what you'll spend much of the game doing as you attempt to conquer Europe nation by nation. While there are about a dozen other minor countries in the game, such as Portugal and Denmark, you aren't able to play as them. In Imperial Glory, you can control one of the five principal European powers of the Napoleonic Wars: France, the United Kingdom, Prussia, Austria, and Russia. The turn-based portion of Imperial Glory is slow-paced, but enjoyable, as you try to conquer Europe. That leaves Imperial Glory feeling very much like an uneven first step, which is a pity, because it does have a lot of promise. However, in copying the formula of Total War, Pyro Studios, the designers of Imperial Glory, have missed the small nuances and details that made the Total War games, in particular Medieval and Rome, something special. After all, Creative Assembly's popular strategy franchise has gotten bigger and better with every release. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Imperial Glory is a game that wants to be the next Total War. If you are the one who is looking for an equivalent of iTunes, EaseUS MobiMover Free is one of the optimal choices for you. Mis tazas y cucharas equivalen a lo siguiente: Use the chart if you’re unsure of how much an ingredient weighs, or if you’re following a recipe that doesn’t offer weight measurements. The majority of my healthy recipes here on the blog include weight measurements in grams. That might be an extreme example, but as you’ll see once you download the chart, every ingredient has a sightly different density. If that’s confusing, think of it like this: 1 cup of rocks would not weigh the same as 1 cup of feathers. This is why I created a chart (see below) where you can see all the equivalences for most of the ingredients I use on my recipes. That’s because different ingredients have different densities. So, my measuring cups and spoons are equivalent to the following:ġ cup of every ingredient will NOT weight the same. Because one cup is one cup worldwide! You may find little variations in the grams or millilitres but its small and won’t spoil the recipe! In this post I am going to show you the ones I use, but you can easily find any brand out there that will work just fine. A serious baker may tell you that measuring by weight is the way to go, but measuring cups and spoons are the go-to method for most of us (myself included). Now don't get me wrong-there are still some of us that have family members with recipes that say "1 cup (yellow) of flour", and they know to use the "yellow cup." But truly more often than not, especially with my generation (20s) we look recipes up on the internet or in a cook book, and a "cup" does default to that 8 ounces.Pick up any cookbook from the shelf and flip to a random recipe and it's almost guaranteed that it measures something in cups, tablespoons, or teaspoons. They normally come with 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tbsp. The spoons (normally metal, but sometimes plastic) are often sold in sets that are connected with a ring. I know that if I need 2 ounces of milk, I need to use the 1/4 tick mark. My tin cup has 1/3, 1/4, 1/2, 2/3, and 3/4 tick marks on the inside. Some sets also come with "2 cups" and "3 cups" and measurements like that (where each cup equals 8 liquid ounces, that are ticket off on the sides of the glass sets). I have an old tin one, but now most people by them in glass or plastic in sets that give you a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full cup. Now I don't know about people in isolated areas, but I would personally be really surprised to find someone who didn't have at least an 8-ounce measuring cup, if not a series of measuring cups. In the United States one teaspoon is approximately 5 mL. Si la receta es norteamericana, media taza sería 118 ml. In the United States a customary cup is defined as half a U.S. In Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa and Lebanon one cup is commonly defined as 250 millilitres (half a cup would be 125 mL.) Everything you need to know By 1992 a few of these broadcasters figured out they could make money by selling airtime to assorted kooks and freaks, and the shortwave bands became cluttered with the likes of "God's end-times prophet" "Brother" R.G. religious broadcasters, starting sometime in the middle 1980s. Federal Communications Commission in their infinite wisdom decided to open the floodgates to privately owned U.S. On 1 April 2014, it left shortwave altogether, a victim of government budget cuts. Instead of extolling the glories of Communism, it reported on news, sports, and cultural affairs in the Russian Republic. One notable example is Radio Moscow, which began in 1929 as the shortwave propaganda powerhouse of the USSR, and became Voice of Russia in 1993. After the rise of streaming audio over the Internet, broadcasters like the BBC World Service, Radio Canada International, Voice of America, Deutsche Welle, and many other respected international broadcasters severely curtailed their shortwave broadcasts and all but eliminated their broadcasts directed at Europe and North America. Satellites and later the Internet replaced most of the maritime and utility transmissions. What happened after the Berlin Wall fell? It went something like this: Cold War competition in propaganda nearly ceased, as did most of the spy transmissions although a few can still be heard. Kooks like William Luther Pierce found a home on shortwave. Sadly, since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the rise of streaming audio on the Internet, these aspects of shortwave have fallen into disuse and much of the shortwave bands have become a quaint bore.īesides commercial and nonprofit radion stations, shortwave radio is still used by amateur radio operators to talk and send Morse code messages globally. During the Cold War, shortwave became a hotbed of international intrigue, with broadcasts from Warsaw Pact countries (USSR's Radio Moscow, East Germany's Radio Berlin International) competing with the likes of Voice of America and Radio Free Europe for international audiences, ideological rants from countries with radical governments not aligned with either side in the cold war like Libya and Albania, rebel governments like the breakaway Republic of Biafra, and spy transmissions and maritime activity taking up some of the shortwave spectrum as well, which always made for interesting listening. Axis countries responded by jamming shortwave radio broadcasts from Allied countries. For example, international shortwave broadcasting really took off during World War II, when people living in Axis countries who wanted news not censored by their governments tuned in to shortwave broadcasts from neutral or Allied countries, in some cases risking criminal prosecution for doing so (but the shortwave broadcasts from Allied countries also smacked of propaganda). In some times and places, shortwave was the only place you could get unbiased news from across the border. Many countries' governments ran their own shortwave stations and some, like the BBC World Service, Radio Canada International (aka CBC International Service or "Voice of Canada"), and Radio Netherlands were highly respected. Shortwave radio was traditionally the best means by which you could hear the news and interesting radio programming from around the world because these frequencies bounce off the ionosphere quite handily. |
